How the calculator works:

  1. Calculate IBW, ABW, AdjBW.
  2. Recommend which weight to use based on all the parameters.
-If Actual Body Weight (ABW) is less than Ideal Body Weight (IBW), ABW is used to calculate for CrCl.
-If ABW is greater than IBW by more than 20% (morbidly obese), Adjusted body
    weight
(AJBW) is used to calculate CrCl.
-For Age ≥ 65 years old and SCr is < 0.8mg/dL, Scr is rounded up to 0.8mg/dL.
  3. Show all the calculations (CrCl in mL/min) for each type of weight.
  4. Recommend estimated CrCl based on the result.
